January 17 Friday roundup

Links to the pre-inauguration podcast episode—and a chance to ask questions.

This week’s “Next Comes What” podcast episode about preparing for Trump 2.0 explores why it’s good to get out of the way of a runaway train. You can watch it on YouTube or listen to it via Apple, Spotify, and anywhere else you get your podcasts.

An orange with a white paper dunce cap sits on a dark hardwood floor with part of a white door visible in the background.

On Monday, I’ll go down on the National Mall and to various parts of DC to talk to Trump opponents and supporters, and return with what I hope will be an unusual perspective on where we’re at and different observations than most coverage you’ll see. It’s supposed to be a little chilly, so who better to brave the elements than your intrepid correspondent, who has not one, not two, not three, but four Arctic expeditions already under her belt?

I encourage new visitors to subscribe, and current subscribers to upgrade to a paid subscription, which will pay for a hot drink when I'm downtown on Monday.

If you have questions you’d like me to ask, post them in the comments! I won’t promise to ask yours, but I will consider all of them.
